Relaxation Programme

The Relaxation Programme our oldest ongoing intervention programme, beginning in 2013, when Daiana Ferreira began her training in Social Support Dogs.
This Programme consist in the continuous monitoring of Physiotherapy sessions of a young woman with Rett Syndrome. The presentation and direct contact with the dog allows a relaxation state that can’t be reached in other means, helping, for instance, with the interruption of stereotyping hands, allowing to develop the stretching work in a far less painful way.
This Programme counted with the participation of Quintero and Viti – Assistance Dogs in their training phase, Arena and Macarena – Both in their socializing phase, Bahia d’Luna – Therapy Dog. But even though all of them could decrease muscular tension, none had the impressive results achieved by Sueca, what makes her the main canine member of this Programme.
