Kokua is a non-profit association based in Tavira, Portugal, formed by a multidisciplinary team. We strive to improve the autonomy and well-being of people with physical, intellectual, organic, emotional or psychological difficulties and their relatives, through social support dogs such as Assistance Dogs, Support Dogs and Therapy Dogs.

 

Kokua is a Hawaiian word that represents assistance as a caring extension, a helpful action to the benefit of others that has to be done if one has the ability to do it.
